What To Wear: To Nobu
What. To. Wear. To. Nobu.
Five words I never thought I would type. Last night was the first time I had actually ventured inside this swanky restaurant (with my gorgeous +1 in tow) and it’s as glam as you would imagine it to be. It was their Sushi Sunday launch for the food media (and, erm, me…apparently being sushi OCD pays off ) and it was the first time I sampled Nobu’s sushi.
So what does this Sushi Sunday Special entail, you ask?
What kind of sushi do you get for the R150, you ask next? It’s a wonderful mixture of maki (cucumber variety…every vegetarian’s dream) and nigiri (the rice was honestly the best sushi rice I have ever tasted…and I am such a sushi snob). Below is the actual list of the nigiri variety:
Tuna, Salmon, Whitefish, Squid, Yellowtail, Shrimp, Seared beef with onion ponzu and to finish it off, a Tamago egg omelette (sounds iffy but kinda the perfect post sushi dessert).
Ok, am starting to sound like a proper food blogger and all, so here is the actual outfit photo…it’s the ‘‘I’m a bit tipsy on Nobu’s delicious wine/have snapped too many sushi pics and now need a dress photo/why am in an elevator taking photos of myself” variety. Wearing a black YDE dress, with little heels from Thailand and green bag from Jane Norman.
